You'll carry on to Agra next, where you'll go to the red-sandstone Agra Fort prior to taking in the Taj Mahal at its most magical. En route to Jaipur, you'll visit Fatehpur Sikri - another sensational red sandstone structure that dates back to 1569 - before making a beeline for Hawa Mahal, Jai Singh's Observatory and the City Palace.

  With this whirlwind of attractions still fresh in your mind, and after a night's rest in Delhi, you'll start what is maybe the most memorable part of your experience, as you board the narrow gauge Heritage Toy Train - one of the most stunning railways on the planet, raised more than 2,000 meters above water level and offering a glimpse of the country's colonial past together with, obviously, endless panoramic views of rich mountains.

  Making tracks on board this train from Kalka to Shimla, you'll have a possibility to find the latter, embedded in the Himalayan foothills and offering plenty to please history buffs, as the former summertime capital of British India. Here, you'll discover yourself mesmerized by The Mall - a bustling pedestrian avenue - and Lakkar Bazaar, where you may even get a wooden toy or handicraft to take home with you. Your final stop is back in Delhi, where you'll invest a night prior to reluctantly grabbing your flight back home.
